GROUNDBREAKING OF DESALINATION FACILITY IN BARANGAY ILOCANOS SUR TO ADDRESS SHORTAGE OF POTABLE WATER

The City Government of San Fernando, through the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), conducted a Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Desalination Facility in Barangay Ilocanos Sur, along with the launching of Greening Project at the City Plaza as well as the City Hall wastewater treatment facility at the Marcos Building.

Acting City Mayor Alf Ortega led the ceremony and gave his full support for this project which will finally address the shortage of potable water here in the city. Moreover, the City Hall Wastewater Treatment will be created to ensure that the wastewater of the City Hall complex is clean and treated which can be reused in cleaning and watering of plants, a great way to conserve water.

These projects were designed to not only deal with the water problem here in the City but to also promote a greener city for Pamilyang San Fernando because #SanFernandoAyayatenKa.
