GSO TURNS OVER VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT TO PROVIDE EXCELLENT SERVICES FOR PAMILYANG SAN FERNANDO

The City Government, through the General Services Offices (GSO) led the blessing and turn over ceremony of vehicles and equipment donated to barangays, San Agustin Elementary School, and La Union Provincial Health Service during the flag raising ceremony in front of the City Hall on May 24, 2021.
According to the GSO, the vehicles that were turned over are two (2) Isuzu MUX, one (1) Isuzu Van, one (1) NV350 Nissan Premium F4 416, and one (1) tricycle. All of these are to be used for city public transportation.
Aside from vehicles, the City Government also donated equipment. These are one (1) type aircon to be used by the LU Provincial Health Service c/o PLt. Rosemarie S. Rafanan, chief; one (1) duty photocopier to be used in San Agustin Elementary School; one (1) split type aircon and fourteen (14) polo shirts be used by Barangay Ilocanos Norte; twenty-four (24) water hose for Barangay Pao Norte; two (2) mountain bikes for Dalumpinas Este; six (6) water tanks for Brgy. Apaleng; two (2) Desktop computers with two (2) bottomless printers to be used by Barangays Bangbangolan and Pias; three (3) folding tables and ten (10) LED flood lights to be used Barangay Dallangayan Oeste (SK); one (1) panel door for Barangay Pacpaco; seven (7) power spray for Barangay Pao Sur; and forty-two (42) jetmatic hand pumps to be used by Barangays Sagayad, Santiago Norte, San Agustin, and Tanquigan.
Meanwhile, about thirty (30) mountain bikes were blessed and turned-over to city frontliners, employees, and barangays.
The blessing was administered by Fr. Jojo Quesada, assistant parish priest of St. William the Hermit Cathedral of San Fernando City.
Through the initiative of Acting Mayor Alf Ortega, the City Government also recognized the heroic acts of frontliners and essential workers through the awarding of certificates of appreciation.
Acting City Mayor Alf Ortega in his speech, “Idi nag-award tayo para kadagiti frontliners tayo, ngem adda pay apo nga haan tayo nga mapanpansin pero malaki pala ang naitutulong nila mula noong nagka-pandemya. Ditoy City Government, nagasat tayo ‘ta we have each other. We are blessed to have each other; we are blessed that we are working for our beloved City and we can encourage each other. Dapat apo, diay ti aramiden tayo we encourage and inspire each other. As public servants, I encourage everyone to be a light in this dark moment, be a light to your fellow public servants.”
