On January 29, 2024, I assumed my role as an Ex-Officio Member of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of San Fernando, La Union, in my capacity as the elected Vice President of the Liga ng mga Barangay.

As chairperson of the Barangay Affairs Committee, our primary objective is to address all issues and concerns of our barangays and pass ordinances that will bring meaningful benefits to our constituents.

Our guiding vision is to provide steadfast legislative support to the City Government’s agenda, one that aspires to cultivate a citizenry that is God-loving, People-Oriented, Accountable, and Committed. We are resolute in our efforts to pass ordinances and resolutions that champion programs dedicated to health assistance, moral recovery and the restoration of values within our community.

Our legislative efforts will also focus on promoting good governance at the grassroots level, empowering our barangay leaders on fiscal development and effective budget management.

In addition, we seek to develop interventions that instill effective leadership within our communities, firmly believing that “better communities emanate from better leaders”. We are committed to strengthen community-based programs that foster economic sustainability, ensure peace and order, and promote social empowerment across our barangays.

Finally, we aim to ensure that our barangays are not only livable in terms of essential needs like water and food sufficiency but also embody inclusivity and a spirit of brotherhood among all constituents. Together, let us embark on this meaningful journey toward a brighter future for the City of San Fernando, La Union, united in purpose and action.
