The nature of the work that we do as public servants requires us to be flexible and to be open for growth. The past three years has been a very steep learning curve for me. Each day has been an opportunity for learning; each person I meet, a teacher and a mentor. I have always been blessed to be surrounded by people who have been an abundant source of wisdom which I will surely take into heart through all my years.

The next three years will be challenging as we attempt to surpass what we have accomplished in the past. In the face of hardship and uncertainty, we find confidence in knowing that we have with us partners who share our vision of becoming a People’s City. The likes of Donald Palabay, Rodel Abella, Glo Suballa, Eduvijis Flores and Delmar Galvez are prime examples of people who have heeded the call of building a city that is truly of the people, by the people, and for the people. Their compassion and empathy have moved them to serve the people without reward or fanfare.

As elected officials, may we be inspired by the examples set by our local heroes. We may have campaigned under different parties and platforms, but I would like to believe that it is our shared love for the City of San Fernando and its people that pushes us to become the best public servants that we can be.

In the next three years, may we grow to be the public servants that our City deserves. May God guide us in our anointing and may He continue to bless the People’s City of San Fernando.
