59 Barangay Captains in the City of San Fernando, La Union attended the Liga ng mga Barangay Regular Meeting on July 14, 2020, at Max’s Restaurant, City of San Fernando, La Union. The meeting was presided over by ABC President Geraldine R. Ortega and ABC Vice-President Ramon Guio Ortega.

Present during the meeting were City Administrator Atty. Aileen Lubiano, City DILG Officer Lily-Ann Colisao, City Legal Officer Atty. Marivic Estrada-Rimando, and LEBDO Department Head Rizalyn Medrano.

During the meeting, Atty. Lubiano discussed the salient points of Executive Order No. 80 on the guidelines in the implementation of the Modified General Community Quarantine in the city. Atty. Rimando presented essential information and mechanisms about Katarungang Pambarangay and also distributed the Guidebook on Katarunangan Pambarangay – Bagong Edisyong Tagalog to all barangays.

Ms. Medrano also discussed the issues and concerns and the implementing rules and guidelines in the operations of the satellite market in barangays.

The meeting also highlighted the roles of the barangays and its workers in the development and progress of the City of San Fernando.
