MATERIAL SUPPORT FOR AGRI AND EDUC SECTORS

City Acting Vice Mayor Chary Nisce led the turn-over of farming equipment to barangays and educational appliances to public schools and SK Teen Centers after the weekly flag ceremony held in front of the City Hall yesterday, March 15, 2021.

These donations were initiated and approved by Acting City Mayor Alf Ortega in response to requests lodged by the barangays, schools, and farmers association.

Part of his agenda is to provide capacity building programs, technical assistance and production support programs for farmers and fisherfolks and build programs that provide opportunities for the education system to thrive amidst challenging times.

The farming equipment donated include 3 power sprayers for Barangay Baraoas, 7 jetmatic pumps to Barangay Tanquigan, and 6 electric pumps to Santiago Norte Farmers Association.

Meanwhile, 7 32-inch LED TVs were turned over to Tanquigan Elementary School and 1 bottomless ink printer was given to San Fernando North Central School.

Also, during the ceremony, the second batch of computer sets for SK Teen Centers were turned over to the SK Chairpersons of Barangays IV, Cabarsican, Lingsat, Namtutan, Narra Este, Pagdaraoan, Pao Norte, and San Agustin. The SK Chairpersons also received 483 tablets to be used by their fellow youth in their respective barangays.

City Councilor John Orros was also present in the said activity.

The City Government is happy to be able to provide the needs of our farmers and youth.
