MSMEs GAIN PRACTICAL BUSINESS SKILLS THROUGH FINANCIAL LITERACY AND SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING SEMINAR

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the City of San Fernando, La Union strengthened their knowledge of financial management, entrepreneurship, and digital marketing during the Financial Literacy and Social Media Marketing Seminar held at the La Union Trade Center on June 24, 2026.

As businesses continue to navigate rising operational costs and economic challenges, the seminar equipped local entrepreneurs with practical strategies to manage their finances more effectively, improve operational efficiency, and leverage digital platforms to expand their market reach.

Resource speakers from the Department of Trade and Industry La Union Provincial Office, Mr. Rodel Joseph Cesar Ariones and Ms. Alanie Oriente, shared practical insights on business development and entrepreneurial growth.

Mr. Gomer C. Gomez of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas discussed effective financial management practices, including maintaining healthy cash flow, making informed financial decisions, and managing both personal and business finances.

Meanwhile, Ms. Joanne A. Dacquel, owner of Kape de Iloko, shared her experiences on efficient budgeting and resource allocation, highlighting how sound financial planning contributes to long-term business sustainability.

To conclude the seminar, Ms. Mary Joy D. Soliven of the Department of Information and Communications Technology discussed how entrepreneurs can use digital platforms to reach more customers, strengthen their online presence, and grow their businesses.

Organized by the City Government through the Local Economic and Business Development Office, the seminar is part of the City’s continuing efforts to equip local entrepreneurs with practical knowledge and skills to adapt to changing market conditions, embrace innovation, and build more resilient enterprises.
