KUSINA NG KALINGA RELAUNCHES AT BANGBANGOLAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

To help fight hunger and malnutrition in the upland barangays of the City of San Fernando, the City Government through the Office of the City Mayor – Special Projects Office relaunched its Kusina ng Kalinga (KnK) feeding program at the Bangbangolan Elementary School on September 16, 2024.

 

The students from elementary schools of Bangbangolan, Parparya, Nagyubuyuban, Baraoas, Pao, Puspus, Masicong and Sacyud were fed with nutritious lunch meal in the relaunched KnK feeding program which will continue until January 2025.

 

This activity was graced with the presence of the City Mayor Hermenegildo A. Gualberto, City Vice Mayor Hon. Alfredo Pablo R. Ortega, City Health Officer Dr. Michael C. Bangloy, City Schools Division of San Fernando, OIC Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Diosdado I. Cayabyab, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Nestor C. Heraña, School Governance and Operations Division Chief Dr. Jose Mari Almeida and Heads of beneficiary schools.

 

Also present to support and witness the relaunching activity were personnel from Philippine Air Force, Naval Forces Northern Luzon, Naval Installation and Facilities Northern Luzon, City of San Fernando Philippine National Police, Local People’s Council, Barangay Councils and parents of chosen beneficiaries.

 

Kusina ng Kalinga aims to feed students especially in the upland barangays, promote healthy meals and achieve zero malnutrition rate.

 

 

Kakabsat, together with the City Government, we can eliminate hunger and poverty through health and nutrition initiatives for the #PeoplesCity of #SanFernandoTayo.
