SAFER COMMUNITIES REMAIN THE GOAL AS 52 BARANGAYS UNDERGO REVALIDATION
Residents of the City of San Fernando can expect the continued implementation of programs that promote safer, more peaceful, and drug-free communities as the city’s remaining 52 drug-cleared and drug-free barangays underwent revalidation on June 29, 2026 at the ABC Hall.
The revalidation ensures that barangays continue to comply with the standards of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program while sustaining community-based initiatives and preventive measures that protect families from the harmful effects of illegal drugs. Of the 52 barangays, 33 underwent revalidation for their Drug-Cleared Status, while 19 were assessed for their Drug-Free Status.
The City Government of San Fernando, through the Office of the City Mayor – Special Projects Office, supported the conduct of the revalidation as part of its continuing commitment to building safer communities through proactive monitoring and sustained compliance with the Barangay Drug Clearing Program.
Representatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), with assistance from the Philippine National Police (PNP), conducted the revalidation. The PDEA Revalidation Team consisted of IO II Kathy Dean F. Pineda, IA I Marivel Camacho, IA I Mary Jean Botes, and IO I Francisca Oribillio. They were assisted by PCPL Maria Jacinta I. Berzamina, PCPL Maricel Graycochea, and PCMS Maricar Godoy of the PNP, who helped ensure a thorough and coordinated evaluation of each participating barangay.
More than a compliance activity, the revalidation reaffirmed the shared commitment of national agencies, the local government, barangay officials, and residents to protect every family and sustain communities where people can live with greater peace, safety, and confidence.
Through these collective efforts, the #PeoplesCity of #SanFernandoTayo continues to strengthen its campaign against illegal drugs while promoting safer neighborhoods for every Fernando and Fernanda.
