In line with the 23rd Cityhood Foundation Anniversary, the City Government held the first ‘Bike The City Tour’ last March 21, 2021. The participants roamed around the City, passing through different barangays to appreciate the environmental landscape of the City from the beautiful view of coastal area to the breathtaking view of the urban area.

Acting City Mayor Alfred Ortega, a passionate cyclist, strongly promotes biking as an eco-friendly and alternative mode of transportation for the protection of the environment and overall health and wellness. This activity was also designed to unite cyclists and to give notice to our Public Bike Repair Stations installed across the City.

Congressman Pablo Ortega, City Councilor John Orros, former City Councilors Ferdz Verzosa and Andre Dacanay, several Punong Barangays and City Government employees also participated in said fun ride. Minimum health standards were strictly observed during the said activity as adherance to the protocols set by the IATF.

The City Government believes that through cycling, we continue to champion a healthy environment and sustainable living. Let us continue to showcase #SanFernandoAyAyatenKa by doing our part in contributing something that would help our Mother Nature.
