“Sa sobrang busy ng mga frontliners ngayon, malaking bagay ang meron na silang pagkaing nakahanda. Nagvolunteer ako dahil sa kagustuhan ko ding makatulong kahit man lang sa pamimigay ng cooked food.”
Chef Glenn Obillio, the owner of Spice Avenue is helping the community by offering free meals to our front liners not just in the City Government of San Fernando, but also across the barangays of the People’s City. They have already provided more than 380 free meals to our frontliners and health care providers.
“Ang ginagawa kong ito ay nagbibigay sa akin ng kaganapan bilang isang tao at nagdudulot ito ng kasiyahan sa mga frontliners at lalong-lalo na sa akin.”
Chef Obillio hopes that simple initiatives like this would give strength to the people collectively working to combat this pandemic. He also believes that providing meals to our frontliners also serves as a token of appreciation and a way to thank our heroes for their valiant efforts in ensuring everyone’s safety.
COVID-19 has shown us that our frontliners, healthcare workers, police officers, food and beverage crews, delivery riders, and all who courageously brave the City amid the outbreak are our modern heroes who do their part for our community.
Our battle has shown the innate compassion and Bayanihan spirit of the Filipino people.
