The City Government of San Fernando, La Union pays it forward by providing relief packs, hygiene kits and PPEs to health care workers and frontliners bravely fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
As of April 14, 2020 a total of 632 relief packs containing 5 kilos of rice,5 pieces of canned goods and 1 bar of antibacterial soap were given to frontline and health workers from the City Government, National Government Agencies, Non-Governmental Organizations, City volunteers and partner organizations.
Moreover, to augment the lack of available PPEs, the City Government also donates 1,833 personal protective equipment (PPEs) as of April 7, 2020 to various hospitals and institutions. The rest of the 3,000 PPEs will be distributed within the week.
In these trying times, may we never forget to show compassion to our frontliners with their valiant efforts.
The People’s City will always support our frontliners who dedicated their lives to serve not only the community but the whole country.
