2,434 families from 22 barangays in the People’s City have received relief packs from the City Government of San Fernando, La Union from March 19-20, 2020. Each relief pack consists of 10 kg of rice, 7 cans of sardines, 7 cans of tuna, 7 cans of corned beef/pork and beans and soap.
These were and will be distributed to four (4) groups: (a.) Senior Citizens, PWDs, 4Ps and Solo Parents; (b.) Tricycle Drivers; (c.) Farmers and Fisherfolk; and (d) Philhealth beneficiaries of the City Government not included in a, b, & c.
City Mayor Alf Ortega, who oversees the relief operations, wants to ensure that each pack would last for one whole week. He also assures the people that the relief packs will cover all groups stated above for the duration of the Enhanced Community Quarantine in all 59 barangays of the City.
Your City Government, through the leadership of Mayor Alf, is committed to dedicate its time to make sure that San Fernando is peaceful, clean, healthy and beautiful.
Your City Government is conducting continuous repacking of relief goods to be distributed to the rest of the 37 barangays.
