The City Government through the Office of the City Veterinarian assisted in the monitoring of the livestock program of the Department of Agriculture from November 11 to 20, 2020.
A total of 50 hds chicken, 45 Dekalb brown ready to lay (RTL) free range chicken and 5 roasters, were given to each farmers association of barangays Bato, Baraoas, and Bangbangolan.
Twenty five (25) farmers from five clustered barangays namely Santiago Norte, Cadaclan, Canaoay, Pagdalagan, and Sevilla from Farmer Livestock School on Goat Enterprise Management (FLS-GEM) batch 6 graduates were given two upgraded Anglo-Nubian goats as their starting stock.
For the Gender and Development project, 18 solo parents and senior citizens from different barangays showed interest and underwent a seminar on goat management.
All the goats were given vitamins supplementation ADE, and Antibiotics as preventive medicine.
