V-SAFE CAMPAIGN IN THE UPLANDS OF SAN FERNANDO

Last June 29, the City Health Office visited the upland barangays to discuss the importance of vaccination and to address vaccine-related concerns, in line with the #VSafe campaign of San Fernando.

Together with the City Government’s Corporate Relations Office, CHO toured the upland barangays of Pao Sur and Norte, Pacpaco, Baraoas, and Nagyubuyuban. The attendees per barangay included barangay officials, SK officials, barangay health workers, and residents.

During the barangay visits, a doctor was present to answer all the vaccine-related questions of the said upland residents. The team ensured that accurate and updated information about vaccination was disseminated to everyone.

Since the start of the barangay visits on June 9, the campaign has driven an additional number of 8155 residents from 48 barangays to register for vaccination.

These visits are done in line with the City’s #VSafe campaign which is an advocacy that aims to educate the residents about vaccination. The information dissemination will continue until all of the 59 barangays in San Fernando have been visited by the CHO.

This initiative aims for us to achieve herd immunity against the COVID-19 virus so we could all soon live in a safer #SanFernandoTayo. If you are part of the A1-A4 priority groups, you may register at: http://vaccine.sanfernandocity.gov.ph/vaccine/profile
