SPECIAL PROJECTS/ PROGRAMS
The following projects were conducted in Barangays Catbangen and Poro, San Vicente in June 22, 2019
- Botika sa Barangay – Provision of maintenance medicines for hypertension, multi vitamins for adult and children, over-the-counter medicines for basic illness, headache, pain relievers and fever.
- Bags to School- Provision of school bags with basic educational supplies to daycare pupils
- Got Heart – Donated wheel chairs to Barangay for PWDs
- Palit Basura – Goods were exchanged for recyclable wastes/ garbage
- VAWC Desk Office – provision of equipment such as steel cabinet, voice recorder, and Television to Barangay Catbangen VAWC Desk Office
WOMEN EMPOWERMENT AND DEVELOPMENT
- Organization of the Federation of Barangay VAWC Desk Officers in the City of San Fernando
- Capacity Building Programs for the Federation of Barangay VAWC Desk Officers in the City of San Fernando
- Equipping of Barangay VAWC Desk offices in the 59 Barangays of the City of San Fernando through provision of various equipment and assistance for the improvement of facilities for better implementation of RA 9262 Anti-VAWC Act to various barangays, agencies and organizations
- Annual visitation to the women deprived of liberty during women’s month celebration
- Livelihood Assistance Projects for Solo Parent/Women, provision of livelihood assistance amounting to P2,000.00 – P5,000.00 as per approved business proposal of the beneficiary. (Pilot year 2016-2017)
Projects for expanded access to basic health care services
- Provision of Health Supplies and Equipment in the Barangays (BP Aparatus, Nebulizer, Vitamins, over the counter medicines, among others)
- Leadership and Capability Building Programs such as for the young leaders of the City of San Fernando through the Federation of Student Body Councils-Student Body Organizations (FSC-SBO) and other Youth Club/Organizations in the City of San Fernando.
- Provision of additional equipment needed in disaster operations.
e.g. vest and flashlights of the 59 barangays
- Support to the Literacy Program for Badjaos in the City of San Fernando
- Scholarship Program to High School and College Students
- Educational Assistance to deserving students in the marginalized sector
- Donation of Books and other Teaching Equipment to Public Elementary Schools in the City
- Support to the Annual Brigada Eskwela
- Provision of toys for Child Care Development Centers in the City of San Fernando in partnership with JCI
