CITY GOVERNMENT UNDERGOES PRIVACY IMPACT ASSESSMENT TRAINING

The City Government of San Fernando, La Union underwent Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Training facilitated by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) to share technical guidance in developing a data privacy manual, held at the People’s Hall on July 8-9, 2025.
Mr. Cleo R. Martinez, Information Technology Officer of NPC, led the informative session and workshop among the participating representatives from all departments of the City Government. He mainly focused on how to assess and address privacy risks within an organization.
Through the PIA Training, the City Government gained valuable insights to systematically assess how personal data is being handled, identify potential risks, and mitigate them across data processing and operations.
