To cater to more patients especially those from the upland areas, the City Government held the soft opening and blessing of the City Health Office II in Barangay Bangbangolan, City of San Fernando, La Union on September 18, 2023.

City Health Officer Dr. Michael C. Bangloy welcomed the guests and visitors which include the Local Health Board Members Dr. Evelyn Dayot and Ms. Irene Madonna Almeida, Barangay Officials of Barangay Bangbangolan together with the Barangay Health Workers, Barangay Nutrition Scholars, and the Barangay Service Point Officers, and the residents of the barangay.

City Mayor Hermenegildo A. Gualberto, City Councilors Hon. Kyle Marie Eufrosito Y. Nisce, Hon. Lucia Esperanza O. Valero, and Hon. Edwin H. Yumul were also present during the opening and delivered their messages. In addition, Dr. Sheila S. Dy, President of La Union Medical Society, was also present in the event to deliver a message.

Furthermore, Barangay Kagawad Jovelyn Casugay expressed her gratitude on behalf of Bangbangolan Barangay Captain Hon. Ranie N. Mendoza.

Following the opening program is the blessing of the City Health Office II spearheaded by Pastor Ernesto P. Mata of the City of San Fernando, Pastor Fellowship Incorporated, and a medical health consultation with the residents of Barangay Bangbangolan conducted by Dr. Joseph Alves, Medical Officer In-charge of CHO II.
