FARMERS ASSOCIATIONS OF THE CITY RECEIVE MACHINERY AND FERTILIZERS

Through the Office of the City Agriculture (AGR), the City Government distributed 10 farming machines, fertilizers, and soil ameliorants to five Farmers Associations on January 25, 2023 at the Food Terminal, Barangay Biday, City of San Fernando, La Union.
Five (5) rice threshers were distributed to the Farmers Associations of Barangays Namtutan, Apaleng, Cabarsican, Baraoas, and Lowland Tobacco Farmers Association. Meanwhile, five (5) 4-wheel tractors were turned over to Upland Tobacco Farmers Association, Biday Farmers Association, Cadaclan Farmers Association, Nagyubuyuban Tobacco Farmers Association, and Dallangayan Este Farmers Association.
This project of the City is to support the farm mechanization program which aims to increase the production and income of our farmers.
Moreover, AGR facilitated the distribution of bio fertilizers and soil ameliorants from the Provincial Agriculture Office that benefited 47 agricultural barangays in the city.
Present during the distribution were City Administrator Col. Ramon F. Laudencia, MNSA, CCSE, and City Councilors Hon. Kyle Marie Eufrosito Y. Nisce, Hon. Rodolfo A. Abat, and Hon. Edwin H. Yumul.
Kakabsat, the City Government will continue to support our kakabsat in the agricultural sector as we gear towards being a People’s City here in #SanFernandoTayo.
