City Mayor Alf Ortega inspects the newly acquired and installed thermal gate scanner at the entrance of City Hall, City of San Fernando, La Union yesterday, July 15, 2020.
The main feature of the thermal gate scanner is to accurately detect body temperature from a distance, without close human contact. The initiative aims to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission while transacting at the City Hall.
Furthermore, the device has a metal detector and a CCTV system that can monitor and count the number of people who are entering the building.
The City Government was able to procure the new thermal gate scanner through the Bayanihan Fund.
The City Government of San Fernando, La Union continues to find innovative ways to maintain a peaceful, clean, and healthy Smart City. Above all the City Government of San Fernando will utilize all available resources, for the people and for #SanFernandoAyayatenKa.
