Representatives from various hotels in the City were taught by the Department of Tourism Region 1 how to properly collect, record, report, and analyze tourism statistics in order to gather reliable tourism data during the conduct of Basic Tourism Statistics training for tourism-related establishments last December 2 (Wednesday).
Collection of data will help the City Government assess its tourism-related programs’ performance and consequently bring about sustainable development in the tourism sector.
The City Government also distributed communication materials regarding COVID-19 safety in order to reinforce the observation of health protocols and standards.
Because the tourism sector has been one of the hardest-hit this pandemic, the City Government wants to ensure that they are given as much support as possible in order to help them get back on their feet. #WalangMaiiwan
