In celebration of the National Disaster Resilience Month, the City Government of San Fernando, La Union, through its City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), joined in the Alagang Red Cross: Health and Safety Caravan featuring interactive booths held at CSI Mall La Union on July 10, 2025.

CDRRMO showcased its modern disaster response equipment and let the visitors experience operating it. They also conducted a lecture and demonstration on First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

Moreover, a registration area was set up for individuals who want to sign up as volunteers. There were also Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials on disaster risk reduction that the visitors could bring home.

Another booth managed by the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) – La Union Chapter offered blood donation and medical check-up services. They likewise delivered a lecture, live demonstration, and shared IEC materials.

The said caravan was organized by the PRC – La Union Chapter in partnership with the City Government, CSI Mall La Union, and Dalumpinas Oeste Eco Rangers.
