“Our frontliners are the most vulnerable workers in this pandemic, and they are risking their lives on the line for our fellow countrymen. It is indeed their right to be supported against COVID-19, and with our little ways, we want to help them, together with our nation; succeed in this fight.”

With the collaborative efforts of the scholars from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) in extending their unwavering support to our front liners and health workers who are working to contain the virus from spreading further, they have initiated a donation drive called ‘We Help, Heal as One’.

They have distributed 1200 pieces of assorted bread, 30 pieces of cup noodles, 9 packs of powdered hot beverages, 3 packs of crackers to our volunteers from the City Public Market, enforcers who are manning the quarantine checkpoints and our medical frontliners from Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center (ITRMC), Bethany Hospital, La Union Medical Diagnostic Center (LUMED) and Lorma Medical Hospital.

“We are the Iskolar ng Bayan, and when our nation needs our help, we are honored to render service.”

Mr. Jerwin M. Ramos believes that through this initiative, they could shine hope and strength to our modern heroes. The overflowing flow of God’s love has always been his instrument to create a positive impact in the community amidst the global pandemic. As a scholar of the nation, he believes that it is their turn to help the country and heal as one.

Kindness, compassion, and generosity continue to connect people regardless of social distancing being implemented.
