CITY OF SAN FERNANDO RECOGNIZES 10 EMPOWERED WOMEN WITH DISABILITY

In celebration of the National Women’s Month, the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) awarded the 10 Empowered Women with Disability to showcase their commitment and ability to the community and to share their advocacy held at J&V Hotel and Restaurant last March 8, 2024.
With their dedication in their work and inspiring contributions in the community, this award was presented to the following:

• Edna Linsangan
• Sheila Marie Bugayong
• Sonia Nuesca
• Vivian Casuga
• Maria Victoria Cruz
• Mary Ann Domondon
• Sharon Lentija
• Elnora Candelario
• Mercilyn Tabafunda
To evaluate the awarded empowered women, they were judged according to their (a) services and contributions to the community, (b) excellence in her field of endeavor, (c) leadership abilities and innovativeness, (d) moral attitude, and (e) interview and presentation.
Ms. Jana Danielle Tan will represent the city in the selection of the Ten Most Influential Women with Disability in the Provincial Level this March.
City Councilor Hon. Mark Anthony A. Ducusin, CGLOO Ms. Lily Ann O. Colisao, Provincial Social Welfare Development Office Head Mr. Ranilo P. Ipac, Head of the Gender and Development – Technical Working Group Ms. Ma. Theresa M. Navarro, Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Diosdado I. Cayabyab, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Nestor C. Heraña, and Curriculum Implementation Division Chief Dr. Edgardo P. Cosares were present in the ceremony.
Moreover, barangay officials, family members, nominators, PDAO staff, and City Government employees were also present in the recognition of these women with disability.
